Smelling the amboinensis - Orchid Board

Buster took time out to have a sniff of my amboinensis cross. I thought it was super cute till he started clawing and biting at my phrag leaf....Good thing he's supposed to be an "outside & garage cat".

Bad kitty! Just today I moved the small aquarium containing my Acineta chrysantha seedlings to a brighter spot. When I sat the little compots on the table while I moved the tank, one of mine thought they were catnip! I bow to your ability to take the time to snap that second pic!

My reaction to the second pic. was "OOPS!" Did you distract him before he did serious damage? I put all my orchids outside on a large table in the summer and although any cat (including mine) can jump up there, I have never seen any obvious damage from cats. Now, snails, that is another matter.

He is a playful little dude and he clawed at the the phrag and pulled it back towards him approx 6 or so inches, at that point I shooed him away before disaster struck.

my rat, "Derpy Derp" took great bites out of 2 of the Catts while I was not looking. Derp just wanted a salad, I understand. Leaves grow back. I think of it as a bad plant haircut its my fault for owning rats and letting them wander though the orchids. They like salad. I think of it as organic gardening.
