Cashmere is my double rex (hairless) albino rat (red eyes). Here he is inspecting the orchids! He is hard to photograph because he is always moving, so nearly every photograph is just a blur. He will not stay still for anything. He is very easy-going, easy to hold and loves to snuggle. He loves inspecting everything!

Thanks. He is about six months old. I have two rescue feeder (rats destined to become snake food) rats as well (much younger). They like each other, but are agressive to Cashmere. He now has a separate fish tank. He's a real people loving rat. I put him in my shirt and he will stay there all day. I bought the feeder rats to be his snuggle partners, but they fight him, so I am keeping him separate. I have two dogs as well. I will intro them later.

What a cutie! I've never had a pet rat but they always look so adorable!
We currently have two hamsters, a Cambbell's (Hammy) and a robo (Peanut) and in the past, we had gerbils.

Cutie!

He reminds me of my albino gerbils when I was a kid. Never had a rat but used to love the ones my cousins had.

Rats are very mellow and have good temprements. They make great pets! I have 2 rescue "feeders" i.e. "snake chow" rats and they are nice and tame too.

I had a roommate that had rats once. They were so sweet and pleasant. One would crawl up my sweater and a nap right were my shoulder and neck meet.

Cashmere is so beautiful! I think rats are wonderful and misunderstood by most folks. I had two rats in college and they were amazing pets. Like tiny, snuggly dogs. Give him a big kiss! Thanks for posting his picture.
