Ugh, I know how you feel!

I raise laying hens from chicks, and they go from fluffy peepers to growing in their feathers in patches and looking like they got caught in a windstorm because they haven't figured out how to preen yet!

When they got crushed, you mean as eggs?
Lucky is incredibly fortunate. I guess if he could survive being crushed, he knew enough to get the heck away from the predator.
Very cute. Why do you keep ducks as pets? Seems odd to city folk like me.

Adorable! I volunteer at a local wildlife rehab very often, and I can't help but wonder why somebody would keep ducks as pets..They are so incredibly messy! I guess it's worth it when they are ducklings, though.

I would probably only consider keeping call ducks..they are small as adults and I like the color variation. Plus they are just so adorable with their tiny bodies and big eyes!

I have always been tempted by ducks and seeing these ones makes me wish we were still in a place where I would be able to keep them.

The squirrel is also adorable. How could anyone not love these little critters?

Sorry guys but I love squirrels. Both as pretty little animals in the yard and as dinner. However, they have now gotten their revenge on me. For some reason the last few times I tried to eat squirrel I ended up in the bathroom all night not able to figure out which end to take care of first while cramping like crazy. Doesn't affect anyone else in the house though.

My family had 2 of them when I was young. We couldn't keep them because we didn't have enough room and water for them. A kiddy pool was too small when they became adults. So we gave them away to some friends that lived on the river bank.

They were quite messy if you had them in the house especially during winter time.

When we lived in the country in Ontario, Americans would come out to the rural areas to ask permission to hunt squirrels on their property. They weren't very popular for that.

Oh yes. If you Google "cooking squirrel" or "squirrel recipes" you will find a number of sites.

Have never tried it myself but it wouldn't bother me to do so. I've had rabbit. Meat is meat.
