I seem to have a bit of a odd ball family, a long with Fern my 3 year old Chihuahua better know as Nosy Rosy because she got her nose into every thing I have a 30 + year old Red Lored Amazon parrot who thinks she the boss of every thing named Red, she also has nick name for me its the B word she like to use when she mad at me, she like to hang out in the winter home for some of my plants. I also have 5 parakeets 4 zebra finches and 2 very fat gold fish, I'm a sucker for pets that need a home

Fern is my second rescue dog from the shelter both were abuse by their owners, the first one I lost to cancer, she had lots of other medical problem too but that didn't stop me form giving her a good home for 6 years. the parrot I saved from being set free in the wild where she wouldn't have lived for long, the other birds were left in a empty house along with the fish, my house just keeps getting smaller with my family and plants but I'm happy to have them

Oh, that is so sweet! And what a great heart you have! Every animal I've ever gotten was severally traumatized and broken, to the point that no one wanted them. They have always been the best of companions after a few years of trust building and working with them.

What a nice person you are! I love all creatures myself, and I know how easy it is to get carried away. I have had a huge assortment over the years, including a blue fronted amazon, but now I am trying to cut back. My husband is happy that I collect orchids instead of animals now. I wouldn't be without pets, though.

What a great family - Amazons can be real wise-asses! A friend had one that spoke in English, but cursed in Spanish. Kind of easy to know when he was mad!
Thanks for sharing your family with us.

My husband and I are allergic to most pets sadly. Very sadly as we would love to have them! So we have fish. A crazy beta called Shrimp, 5 red glass barbs, a cichlid and a very cute pleco.

As for birds. I could never do it! ha ha! I went into a greenhouse in VT that had a few that were so loud! I walked in and they all go very quiet, like they were plotting! Then the one said "uh-oh!" So I said hello and he wouldn't talk, then my niece and husband came in and said hello and he talked to them, not me. I said hello again and nothing. Then i laughed and he mimicked my laugh exactly then started laughing at me! Every time I tried to talk to him or my husband and niece he laughed at me! darn thing! ha ha ha!!!

Pet families are awesome! Even fish that get excited when you come home. Sure it's begging for food, not hey you lady I love you! But still.
