Really nice fish and photos. In the old days we called these "Siamese fighters", and they are easy to breed provided you provide a hiding place for the female. Yours is happy - he is blowing a lot of bubbles !

I have never seen a black one, mostly just red and blue. He's beautiful! I am planning on getting a betta when we move (but not before, cuz I don't want to tote a fishtank in the car). In other news, I agree, your pictures are AWESOME.
