Its like anything, after awhile you what a change, If you have fish for more then a year and you see something new at the store and you don't have room! I kept fish both marine and tropical for around 20+ years and have had hundreds through the years. If it makes you feel better I never offed one just to get another.

I'm not mad or anything. It's just strange to think that when you walked by the tank, you looked at the fish and thought,"DIE, you stupid fish, DIE!" I find it funny really, just thinking about it. I know exactly what you mean about wanting a change.

I gave up on my marine set up because I had one very aggressive angel fish who just would not share his space with ANY newcomers. The only other fish he tolerated was the Tomato Clown I and think that's only because they were introduced to the tank on the same day. So I was doing all that work with a 40 gallon tank for two fish. Funny thing is they both ate out of my hand and I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of them. It was hard enough when we decided to take the tank down. I took them both to the fish store and sold them back to the guy I bought them from . I'm sure someone has some nice fish. I had them for 8 years!

OH! Ok. I had THAT happen to me with orchids. I would see all of these orchids that I wanted and no place to put them. I have more shelf space now, so I don't have to worry about it.
I think I'm overfeeding my fish. I give them a meal in the morning and one at night. Both times they are fed until they are full. Should I just do one meal in the morning?

I feed my fish 2 times a day but small amounts I tried to feed them only what they would eat so is not to dirty the tank so quickly. After feeding them for a while you will know how much they will eat. I think most feed just once, but more then they will eat and it sinks to bottom and adventually coulds the water.

I hear you I have had fish from hell. Saltwater tanks are like boats the 2 happiest days are the day you get it( put your first fish in it) and the day you know you never have to clean it again.

COOL!!!!!!!! How long will that take? They're beginning to know what time I feed them, 8:00 A.M. and at 8:00 P.M. or somewhere close to those times. It's funny in the morning, because they look at me like, "Where is the food?" after the light goes on. Though the molly still kinda freaks when she sees something move outside of the tank. I'm not worried. She's a lot calmer than she was when she was first put in the tank. In time she will be as calm as the others. The yellow guppy follows her around, watching everything she does.
