What beautiful fish and fish tanks! Mine is alright but I'm not willing to spend the time and money on live plants. I have a ten gallon with the most realistic fake plants I could find. It is home to one male betta and three female bettas. Believe it or not they get along perfectly. They fought a little in the beginning. There are WAY too many myths about bettas...

it really depends on the temperament of the betta. they have personalities all of their own

I love keeping fish as well. I have a 12 gal that I am fighting to get rid of algae after I upgraded the lights. I keep harlequin rasboras (9 of them, down from 12) in there with a bunch of Red Cherry shrimp and a couple of amano shrimp. I just find it so relaxing to watch the tank (when I am finished fussing with my plants).

I'm upgrading my 10g emersed setup to a 30g (not a 29g, it's 36x16x12 inches I think)
