RIP sweet Gemini
I had to make the difficult decision to let go of my beloved Gemini. He had lymphoma and kidney failure. We were going to try and treat him, but he declined too rapidly. Gemini and his brother Libra have been with me since they were just 8 week old kittens. I loved them both before they were born and held them when they were just 2 days old. I had 10 wonderful years with Gemini and hope to have many many more with Libra. Gemini was the sweetest kitty I have ever known. He was loving, tolerant, nurturing and laid back. He loved any person and animal he met, even our hyperactive puppy. He would have groomed the puppy if he would have held still long enough.
It was always funny to watch Gemini and Libra wrestle around and circle each other, tails twitching, eyes locked intensely. Jumping on each others backs if one tried to walk away.
I miss my sweet Gemini so much. I know he is not hurting anymore. He is happy and healthy again playing with and nurturing other animals over the rainbow bridge.

Oh, Amanda, I am so sorry for your loss. I do understand how you are feeling. Gemini is now watching over you and Libra. Hang in there, Hun.

I feel so terrible for you. Losing pets is incredibly tough, especially when they've been with you a long long time. I hope Libra isn't taking it too hard. Wish I could find some comforting words....

Amanda, it was a wonderful loving experience, but at some point they have to leave you. I also had my 8 yr old marmalade male cat(Meowmeow) put to sleep because of kidney failure due to cancer. I was given immediately by a friend a white ,male cat(Montana=where he came from) with blue eyes...he is so adorable...but I had Meowmeow cremated and he is among my chids on the baywindow.

Lovely cats! And so sorry for your gemini.
I had a pair of cats almost like them for 12 years and it was very rewarding with lots of happy memories.
My condolences.

Thank you, everyone. He was a special cat. I'm not sure how Libra is taking this. There are 3 other cats to keep him busy. He seems to be a little more calm than normal. But, he hasn't started meowing, yet. I have been giving him and the other kitties extra lovins', because I know they were all his best buds.
I had Gemini cremated, but haven't gotten his ashes yet. I am going to order a nice urn to place in the house.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy to make that decision. You gave him a great home and a lot of love.

I am so sorry! If only it could be true that the more love we gave our pets, the longer they lived!
