Hey Tindo, I love your birds I have a red lord amazon. His name is Chico and he is about 35 years old. I have had for about 15 years. He belonged to my neighbor and when I visited him I noticed that he was without food and water. So everyday I would go to there house and feed and give him water, after about a month they offered him to me. And of course I took him. How do you get the video? I would like to video a hike.

Thanks for the comments guys!!! FlhikerI used my digital camera. Then I saved it on my computer (software for this came with the camera), and then I uploaded it to You Tube. Very easy.

They're really cute, how long have you had them? We used to have zebra finches (about 8 of them) and they were so funny, especially when they got out for a fly around.

I once thought about posting a video of my crazy dog playing at hearding up the human sheep, but then I wouldn't want to scare anybody!

Lol, I think you should post it, lol.
I've had them only for about two months. The former owner had them for about 9 or 10 months, and the owner before them had them long enough to mate them successfully. Poor wayward orphans

Another beautiful Australian like myself.........cough cough.

Anyway I believe they are endangered now. I used to have some but the cold got to them........all very sad to be honest. They are a tropical bird from the far north of Australia........I hope you have plenty of good years with your birds. I just hope they survive for many more in nature as well.

I didn't know they were endangered, and its true, they really don't like the cold at all. The get stiff with just the AC on in another room. I don't know if humans can live with them during the summer. I NEED MY AC!!! LOL

Hi , I did raise them mine went to nest late summer early fall .
Normal house Temps. are fine for them extreme cold not good . My bird room runs about 70 degrees .
They are picky eaters you might get some Petamine or other high protien supplement . I tried meal worms, and hard boiled egg grated up mine would not eat it . If used to getting meal worms they might ?
Your pair are very pretty Gin
