Default My rescue mutt, Jojo

This is Jojo I adopted him from Midwest Animal Rescue about a week ago. He was brought into a shelter in Missouri with a tag, saying, Harvey. MARS transported him to Minnesota before he was to be killed. There's only so much room at the shelter. Those who are not claimed or adopted are done. MARS registration person renamed him Harley. Foster mom took him in and renamed him Joker. He never responded to any of those names when I called him. So I started calling him Jojo instead and he seemed to like that one the most. The rescue group listed him as Pug/Terrier mix but somebody asked me if he's part Shiba Inu. I have no idea what he is, other than very sweet and loyal. He's the bigger one on the right.

I am so happy for Jojo! What a cutie
Our rescue is now the queen of the house and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I especially love the picture. It has a metaphorical meaning: the bars are behind Jojo

Well done Tracy!

Oh yes, I remember your handsome Dane! He must be ginormous by now. I almost put in an adoption app for a Great Dane. The big guy I was looking at was 170 lbs. and almost up to my shoulder on all 4's. One of the foster parents for Midwest Great Dane Rescue told me to be careful if I adopt one because he/ she might accidentally wack me in the face with it's tail.

Unfortunately, many shelters don't have the funding to keep all the dogs for an unlimited amount of time due to more dogs coming in all the time. Some groups claim to be "rescue" groups but are fakes and those animals are kept in horrible conditions. Sometimes, death is the most humane option in a shelter. Jojo is one of the lucky ones who made it out.

Tracy, that's what you have been doing lately. I am glad Jojo found the permanent house. Thank you for saving him.

BTW, I checked your other pictures. Do you let the dogs sleep on your bed? Good for you!
