Ok that makes it even easier. I already have the 20 so I just need to set it up. Do you recommend using a screen top or glass?
Those temps sound fine. They will be kept inside and the house rarely ever gets hotter than middle to upper 70s or those lows.
I've also read the terribilis are good beginners but the others seem to have become more available.
On the topic of hybrids, I was just reading a post about the El Cope morph of D. auratus (I think). These I believe were first introduced by the director of husbandry at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans if I'm reading that right. They were talking about keeping these in set ups with only other El Cope morphs in order to ensure purity within the morph I assume. They also mentioned many of these were wiped out from their native range (El Cope). Is there some kind of captive breeding program that reintroduces range specific species back to their native areas and thats why they're keeping the lines pure?
Sorry for more questions and getting a little off the original topic but I thought a captive breeding/reintroduction program would be interesting.
