Beverly makes a good point about possible abuse.
Doing quiet activities in the same room as him will help with that, whether it is true or not.

And provide a hiding place for him, if he hasn't found/created one already.
Definitely give some of my other suggestions a thought too.

I have a few hiding places in my bedroom. And he's found all of them.

I don't think there was any abuse, just that he hasn't been around people.

If I'm holding him, or he's right next to me, he's a cuddly little thing. When I leave or put him down is when he reverts to being angry at me. I know I should give him time, but I had to try feeding him a couple times. He only eats one or two tablespoons of wet food. And showed him the litter box.

I think he likes my husband because he has massive arms, so "mew" can slightly burrow into them.

I'm afraid to handle him too much, and I'm afraid if I don't he won't eat, because I don't think he realizes what his food dish is... oh geez.

He's such a poor little boy...

It wasn't star wars or lord of the rings. It was something else, I saw it years ago... can't remember anything really other than I liked it and I would like to see it again. LOL

If your other pets won't bother it, leave some food near him for a while. He needs to learn where the food comes from- his bowl.

If he comes to you for cuddles, reward him, and let him hang out with you as long as he wants. But if he gets defensive when it's "your idea" to cuddle, just leave him be and hang out near him. Keep in mind what I said about the differences between offensive and defensive.
Try putting some of your used shirts in his hiding places.

I know. I've showed him his bowl multiple times, but he's just not interested. But I left it out, so maybe when I get home, he will have eaten something from out of it...

When I got Taz - he was an adult, and likely had been someone's pet, but also had been a stray for some time. He didn't really eat much for a couple days at first, and this is after he lived with my friend for a couple months before coming here.
Taz also liked some brands of wet food less than others, but always liked his kibble, so while we usually think of wet food as more attractive, maybe a bit of kibble left out for him too ?

I have his wet food in his bowl with water, and I bought a seperate ceramic bowl I left with maybe a quarter cup of kibble in it.

I'm thinking I might buy some tuna and try that... it has a really strong scent and I used to give it to my other one as a treat...

Also, I know it might be bad... (hoping not) But I was thinking about bringing home a little friend for him, either his brother who has apparently adjusted to living indoors really well, or a tabby that I saw.

P.s. It broke my heart today are Petco, I saw a cat that I wanted to adopt in there in one of the pens... So sad I couldn't give her a home... and she's 9 years old. But I know she'll find somewhere. She's so sweet.

Do you think I should buy different kinds to see what he likes?
