Hi Yuuki !

I tried to post earlier to tell you about the risks with chocolate not being too bad - but I got white screen of death and gave up. Being rescued is great fun, I love my new life, on the sofa, being towelled off after a walk in the rain, two round meals a day, I gained 4kg after moving in here. Enjoy your new life and remember, chewing shoes won't get you treats

Love Jess

aaawwww. such a sweet face. a wonderful thing you did tracy. my client is head of the local humane society. she makes sure people who abuse animals are charged to the highest extent of the law. we discuss being animal lovers and how there are so many unfortunate animals who need good good homes badly. it puts a smile on my face how one person can make a difference. im sure everyone who's followed this post will agree best to you both, richard

Bless you for taking this poor baby! Like you, I gravitate toward dogs who need a home and not dogs bred to be pure. I can guarantee anyone who asks that my babies are pure of heart! Of my four, one came to me twelve years ago from the Humane Society and another came to me about 18 months ago from a homeless pet adoption center; these are two of the most wonderful pets imaginable, and are filled with love. Homeless and discarded pets such as ours know and understand when the get a new opportunity in life and show their appreciation.

Yuuki is wonderful! Two of our dogs (we have four) are pugs, and yes, (unregistered) purebreds (blame my wife, not me). If Yuuki has their sense of humor you are in for a wonderful time! And what a cool-looking little dog, too!

You have done a wonderful thing in removing this poor baby from a horrible situation and giving him a life. Please keep us posted on how Yuuki does with you.

It's so nice to see Yuuki enjoying his new life! And I'm sure Jess is too The four dogs I have been blessed to have in my life have all been mixed breeds, with the last two both from the shelter. The two from the shelter were not only sweet, smart, loyal, but very beautiful as well. My dog Cahala, who passed last fall, was so striking, people actually stopped their cars in the street to comment, and/or ask "what kind of dog" she was. And a few added that they didn't know there were such nice dogs at the pound ... Cahala was estimated to be 2-3 years old when I adopted her, and we were blessed to have a bit over 15 years together! She was truly my "heart dog", and I still miss her every single day.

Tracy - I am sure you are blessed to have this wonderful dog come into your life

Cahala...I really like that name An unforgettable name for an unforgettable loved one. I feel your pain, Sonja. I lost my "heart dog" last Summer and she will never be replaced. I have a photo of her and my other Shih-tzu on my lap top. I look at it every day.

Thanks Tracy - I have Cahala's pic as wallpaper on my computer and phone too. She was my family, and the best friend I could ever want. It's still unbelievable to me that she was a stray - and no one was looking for her - tho you never know what her situation had been.

Well! I'm glad you have another dog in your life! I know he won't replace your other, but will still bring you love and happiness! As I know you have brought to him! I look forward to hearing about your adventures together!
And I know your "heart dog" is happy you have opened your heart to another dog, as well as saving him from a bad situation, and giving him the love and life he deserves. Hugs and love to you both!
