Default Molly is back from her grooming

Not really... I changed her groomer and it was the first time. She came back almost bare-naked. The groomer chopped all of her hair off. She is a terrier ( soft-coated Wheaten Terrier ). She had beard, fluffy hair on her legs, and some skirt around her body and the chest. THEY ARE ALL GONE. I am too embrassed to take a picture of her.

Sad part is that she knows it. I think she is mad at me right now.

Oh, well. we all had a bad hair day, didn't we?

Awwww. I know how she feels. One of my cats is a long hair, so I thought she would look nice with a "lion cut". It would cut down on all the cat hair on everything, right? Well she looked absurd! Not a good look for her. My other cat (a male) was so ticked off about it, that he hissed when he saw her and went and peed on the rug. So, I guess he hated her new haircut, too. Plus, they charged me $50. So, I won't be doing that again.

mollycart1: Poor thing! Here's hoping it grows back soon.

susiep: Haircuts for cats...? Not sure I'd ever risk it myself, definitely not ever now. (well unless it was matted beyond grooming)

I had a bad grooming experience before too. The groomers shaved my dogs tail. They left her body fluffy and shaved her tail so it looked like a little stick at the end of her body. Poor little thing! Who does that?

I agree Poor Molly but yes it grows back...I once took a cat to the vets after not having groomed it enough...and he ended up minus whiskers on one side! Luckily fur and whiskers have now grown back..
I now chop off matted chunks (if/when it happens) with 'baby scissors' - round headed without the pointy ends... It works and if taken off straight away there's "less" damage...
I have persian cats and winter/spring is the time for Knots..even when you try & brush everyday

Poor Molly

obviously the groomers in question don't actually have any idea about what is required for different breeds. What would they have done to a Springer spaniel? the mind boggles.

I hope you're not going to go back there anytime soon.

I think you must be right about that. I have an Airedale and he always comes home looking like a Schnauzer. No matter what I ask for, Schnauzer is what we get. Carol

Thank God my whippet cross doesn't have a coat long enough to need trimming - I would seriously consider suing if my dog got treated like that, especially if you have a pedigree and show etc
