Thank you ladies. I appreciate your kind words- and empathize. It's unfortunate that they cannot stay with us longer, these wonderful companions.
Poshkitty has gained 3 pounds since she came home- she's a little muscle girl now! And Hallie has really picked up on her hysterical antics.

Your photos are wonderful - your kitties are beautiful! And what you wrote about them all was beautiful too!
I too had just been thinking about a tattoo in memory of my sweet girl who passed in November. Of course, then I started to think - well, I should honor all my dogs and cat who are gone lol. And of course I probably can't afford even 1 small tattoo right now
Something to think about tho I guess. Let me know what you decide on that.

Your tales of your kitties bought tears to my eyes, as I thought of my own "baby girl" who recently passed. Misty Haze greeted us after work and slept on my hubbies chest every night or cuddled under the blankets with us. I really miss her, last month SUCKED.

Found these two favorites that I took several years ago, back when Mollie was in her prime. Won a few contests with these.
"The Golden Years"
Haven't come up with a good name for this last one.
What do you guys think?

Izzie,
Your Mollie looks a lot like my childhood cat, Misty. She adopted us after being kicked out of a moving car at the end of our block and was my best friend all through Jr. High, and High School. She would sleep with me every night after making her neighborhood rounds, coming in my window around midnight. Every time I brought someone home (ie. Snuck them in!) she would 'supervise' by laying down on the bed... in between me and my guest.
She was an amazing cat, terrific personality, a hunter who would bring home presents and also cuddle with the best of them. We put her down last year at the age of 19. It's so hard to let them go, even when you know it's for the best for the animal. We're so blessed to have these creatures in our lives!
It took me a while to be ok with the idea of a cat, but last year my partner and I adopted Pi, and I'm currently holed up in my office with a tiny kitten we're hoping Pi doesn't object to strenuously too.
Seems like you have experience with multiple cat households, any tips for minimizing the stress on both cats for a happy introduction?
Thank you for sharing your story,
-Tristan

Mollie did that exact thing to me once.

Beautiful pictures and touching stories. Animals are such joy. They are a blessing that can touch an injured soul. I too have lost several animals over the years. Large ones (cows and horses) and dogs and cats. The pain of the loss can still sting but the joy of the new ones bring new joy and comfort. God Bless Izzie

Gorgeous photos of Molly. For the second one, how about "Just me, and my shadow.", "Who's that, good looker?" or "I've still got it!"
I've got one similar of Misty as a kitten looking into a Beta fish tank and debating going "fishing" with her paw.
Thank you for the kind words, too. Becky Jo, that is so true, we maybe rescuing a stray black kitten in the near future. I'll post pictures if we do.

Thank you Becky. It's amazing how the "newcomers" can be so mutually healing.
I have been there for friends that have had to let go of the larger animals, I know that can be very hard as well.
