He's really cute jasen. How do you find out if he's male or female? Too bad they are noctural. They'd be fun to watch all day! How easy is it to breed them?

So far, the only difference is the females are bigger. The males don't usually get over 3". Also, the males may call, or bellow....and I guess the females are silent. The problem is, I don't know if they mean the torso is 3", or stretched out (nose to toes). This little guy's torso is just under 2" so I have no way of knowing right now. I'm hopin' he'll talk to me....or maybe she won't. These are the only two ways I've read about. If there's any experts out there, please feel free to chime in. I imagine once you get a sexed pair, nature should take care of the rest.....I hope. I'll have to do a little research on tadpole care, but it'll be a while.

HA! When I saw this thread and opened the pics I thought to myself, "I wonder how long before Jasen starts breeding these guys?" You beat me to the punch! I can just see the classified ad now - WTT Orchid or Frogs, species only.

Seriously, very cool setup. You're such a bad influence.

Well, it's official.....Krammit is a male! He just told me so. I was sticking orchid labels to the glass a few minutes ago, as he was waking up, and the the lights had just turned off.....he yawned a few times, and then he gave me a few little "good morning calls". That's awesome, I thought I'd have to wait forever to find out....thus delaying him having a partner. Now I can feel free to get another one!

Awe! Congrats Jasen! Now you can go about finding a partner! I hope that goes as easily as this one did!
