I don't have snakes and have never fed them! I think they feed them frozen ones though

It might be up to the owner. Or the snake might not take dead food, and be VERY picky about wanting warm food that moves, on its own.

I get squicked out just from having to feed my cat mince kangaroo meat and kidneys.. at least I don't have to handle the chicken necks for the dogs- not my job

I had mice as pets as a kid, killed one accidently after dropping the tank after taking it to show and tell at school and then some went canabilistic and actually ate each other not a pleasant thing to find

I prefer fish now
