Well, the patholgy report came back and the news is the better part of bad news, if that makes any sense

The tumor was malignant but the cancer is a very unusual form of it and the chance for reoccurence is very low. It's a low-grade, very slow grower so there is no further treatment to be done at this point.
I just have to keep a close eye on the area that this lump was in and hope for the best. If it does come back, another surgery will be done and then we'll decide on if anything drastic (besides surgery!) needs to be done.

I appreciate al the good thoughts that have been sent our way, I know they continue and I thank you all
