While in grade 9 and buddy and I had a science fair project that demonstrated how environmental stimuli triggered spawning in Betta splendens.

With increased water temperature the result was spawning and babies...what a surprise!

The whole bubble nest building, courting and spawning process is amazing to witness.

Marco those are some great colors. My favorite has always been the ones with cream bodies and red fins, although this one is nothing to sneeze at!

Here's mine less the female. Shes on top of a dresser behind the table. I only let the guys get a sneak peak of her once in a while
