Athena has normal (same color) eyes, and she is not deaf - unless I am yelling at her to stop.

Athena is gorgeous!
At least with our orchid-shredding dog, I can put the orchids on a high shelf where she cannot reach and, in the summer, I can go outside with her and keep her on a leash away from the orchids...which I must do. Cats can really jump so it is much more difficult to keep the plants safe.

When you are a goddess (Athena), you set your own rules:
|
Kim, who is Athena's grey friend who's urging her to stop?

He is named Taz (Tazmanian Devil). When he was younger, he figured out that if he took a running start on the bathtub edge, and jumped as high as he could, he would hit the wall about 12" shy of the ledge in our cathedral ceiling bathroom. He would then kick off on the wall, and haul himself up to the ledge.
Then he would patiently wait till one of the females came in to use the litterbox. At that point he would launch himself towards the litterbox, and land in front of it with a THUD. Needless to say, he was not popular with the girls.
Now that he is older (about 7), he has turned into a lap kitty - preferably my lap, whether in the office or the bed room.

Ah, Zoom a kitty! I remember those days. Age makes all of us smarter, I suppose.

A very handsome gent...like he doesn't know it already! But I've always thought age has zero to do with love-of-the-lap. Stay well.

Orchids are actually the only plant that my cat leaves alone! So I've taken to filling up the house with them (which is fine by me since they are gorgeous!). She does like to sniff the flowers and rub her face all over the leaves, but other than that they seem to be the best of friends.
