Deac --- over here --- I have the orchids in that area all year around. We do get cyclones (aka hurricane etc) occasionally during the cyclone season - where I may have to park some orchids up against the sides of walls - hopefully away from the strong wind. Or may need to put some plants in the garage - mainly to stop them from toppling over and losing their tags etc, or even blown away hehehe.
I occasionally might need to shift some orchids around in the growing area during times of peak solar activity ----- where some extra high power sun days could possibly do some leaf scorching. But most of the sun-hardened catts can handle the direct morning sun here.
Gingercat has some hilarious behaviour sometimes. It was only yesterday when a plumber came around. Gingercat heard the plumber - a stranger - and she disappeared ----- went hiding in the shrubs for quite a long time. But ------ there was another time, when an air-con service guy came around - and he needed to go out through a back door --- and gingercat was lying on her side -- wide awake -- and just didn't want to move. So the air-con guy had to just step over her hahaha. I was quite surprised myself. I think she thought that it wasn't a stranger ------ and thought it was me heheh.
Pretty sad when your cat and your a/c guy are on a first name basis!
