To get rid of my Bush snail infestations, I sprinkled coffee grounds in all the orchid pots as well as on the surface of all my other plants (the grounds filtered right through the lava rock and NZ moss, naturally). I even laid the mounts down and sprinkled them with coffee grounds. This latest infestation was discovered in September (2018), after I had brought the orchids inside. I currently have no bush snails.
For those who are not heavy coffee consumers, coffee shops will often be willing to donate used coffee grounds if one asks.
Good luck!

I think they hatch at any time, as long as temperatures are warm enough.
