Question Cattleya Appleblossom

I am new here but have been growing orchids for many years.

My Appleblossom are being plagued by insects eating the newly formed buds. I have sprayed with soap/oil/water but it doesnt seem to work.

Any suggestions?

If possible a digital pic of the nasty critters would be helpful. If you don't see them during the daylight, they may be snails or weevils coming out at night and feasting on your plants. Without a pic of the offender or the offense, it's a tough call.....
