This is a young cattleya alliance hybrid. I'm wondering whether it has a bacteria or virus problem.

I think the photo should show what Im talking about. The older leaf has a reticulated appearance, with a rough surface, and portions are discoloured to a brown shade. The newly emerging leaf looks fine.

No other plant seems to have the same problem, although I did isolate it fairly promptly.

Any ideas ???

cheers

Arron

That looks more like sunburn to me. Notice the sharp cutoff of the damage in the lower, right quadrant of the leaf, likely where it was shadowed by the leaf of another plant.

This could also be due to previous spider mite damage on the underside of the leaf.
