Here is a shot of my first Paphiopedilum. It has 'rusty' brown spots and lesions on its' established leaves. New growth is coming in well; but I want to prevent this ailment from spreading. Please help me identify and treat it accordingly.
Thank you for your time.
(I have done some extensive research; but am still quite unsure about identifying this problem. Please forgive me if this is a redundant or elementary question.) Noob
Constructive criticism welcome.
1. The problems you see were already established when I bought this plant from a local greenhouse.
2. I grow it in my Southeast sunroom at my desk. (Good ambient light and mild temps 72-79 degrees with 54% humidity.)
3. I water it weekly and include very diluted (15% 11-35-15) orchid fertilizer. New growth is coming in quite well; but i don't want this ailment to spread to the new growth.
4. Substrate seems to be rough chopped coconut husk.
Hope I have adequately answered your question.

Yeah, I think it is not a big concern right now. It does seem as if it is old damage. Keep an eye on it and see if the leaf tips die back more or if the spots get bigger. If they do, check the roots to see how they are doing.
