Paphiopedilum disease or fungus? Female
Default Paphiopedilum disease or fungus?

I recently acquired this Paphiopedilum Hsinyin Rubyweb X Hsinying Raisin. It has been in flower for a month and now a leaf has gone brown to the base and another two look like the pics. Is this a fungal disease? In only two days the leaves have gone from healthy to this. It has two center leaves which are fine ....for now. This is my only specimen of Paphiopedilum and it was kept away from all other orchids. This first leaf had been cut (not my work). The second was cut by me and sprayed with hydrogen peroxyde yesterday. Eeeek! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could that be sunburn?

I'm not sure?? It was on a table about 10 feet from the window. It was perfectly fine. I then put it near (about 5") a northeastern facing window. It would get sun through a curtain. Only an hour of sunlight at most. I'm going to move it back to the table I guess. I know it needs some light like a phalaenopsis.
I'm really not expert with this variety that's why I ask. Thanks for this. I really hadn't thought of sunburn.

Paphs don't ever need sun shining on their leaves. I think this is the problem. The spots will dry up and turn papery but won't go away. The plant will make more leaves.

I also would advise against using hydrogen peroxide. It damages cell membranes by oxidation.
