Below is my Blc Ronald Hausermann 'Carl' AM/AOS, purchased in bloom in 2015 and bloomed again in 2017 with two spikes, one of which had four perfect blossoms. This year, despite abundant root and foliage growth, it came up with only two blossoms on a weak spike; these blossoms don't look anything like the originals, although they have plenty of turgor. Care has been generally the same except I added a low monthly dose of Kelpmax (1 Tbsp/gal). Any ideas?

It looks incredibly dehydrated. The leaves look limp/wrinkly and the pseudobulbs look so shriveled that they're almost flat, but I see a few roots in the picture that look good. How much are you watering? If it has a good root system, I think maybe you just need to give it much more water. It looks very thirsty.

I agree, that plant looks extremely dehydrated, and would be no surprise if it produced lower quality blooms because of that. The leaves should be smooth and the p-bulbs should be plump. How much are you watering and what is it potted in? Either it is badly underwatered, or got overwatered/suffocated and the roots died, leaving the plant unable to take up water.
