Well, both isopropanol and ethanol (the most common here) are considered rubbing alcohols. Although chemically different, the applications are the same.
Regarding isopropanol, the resulting byproducts are toxic.

The marks on your Rhynchostylis maybe be caused by Mg or Ca deficiency. Does it show in older, new or all?
