Cambria (Oncidium) purple leaves
Default Cambria (Oncidium) purple leaves

I couldn't hold on and i bought this Cambria (grr, I hate that name ) yesterday. Plant looks very healthy, leaves and bulbs are firm and it also has 4 new growths and two flower stalks.

Only thing that worries me is that every leaf is purple on it's tip. Even the new growths are purplish. Here are the pictures. Anyone know where is the problem, and what to do to?

usually purple or red coloring is a good indication that the plant is recieving sufficient light

So I suppose this this is normal... I thought that red coloring is sign that there is too much light... At my place, there is no way that it can get sunburn... I'll wait for it to finish blooming and I'll repot the plant...

And now the picture of bloom!

It is a reaction to the increase in light, the plant is protecting itself from burning. Those are beautiful, how big is this plant?

Plant has 4 BIG pbulbs and few of those small ones. Also, it has 4 healthy new growths.

I didn't mentioned that this beauty has a wonderful and strong honey-like scent. Whole house smells like honey.

In garden centre where I bought it there were just one of these. I paid it 10 euros (that is less than 10 dollars)....
