Discount Cattleya with Heavy Damage on Leaves....
Default Discount Cattleya with Heavy Damage on Leaves....

Hello all. I recently purchased a severely discounted Cattleya hybrid. (Rchra. Honky Tonk Woman). I got it for 5$ so if I need to get rid of it, I won't be upset. It has a lot of damage and spots on the leaves. I want to make sure it isn't something that would spread to my other orchids, and something I could treat before I really invest in it and put it with my collection.

What do you all think?

Thank you for the help.

A $5 honky-tonk woman, with a rash you are worried about spreading, whom you are considering getting rid of or giving medicine, rather than introducing her to the rest of your ladies right now, and risking spreading the rash.

Sounds like a country song.

The plant looks fine. Those represent old physical damage. Her last "friend" done her wrong. With a little care and tender lovin' that woman will amaze you.
