Default crusty surface on flowers of epidendrum anceps

Hello everyone,
Today I would like to put some pictures on display of the flowers of my epidendrum anceps, first time I notice such a "crust" on a flower, it felt rigid to the touch and flowers that showed this crusty appearance didn't last long (since it has multiple blooming on the same inflorescence, they blasted rapidly). Any suggestions on what could be?...

I'm not sure, but I would wonder about scale or mealy bug. Do any other plants have something like this on the leaves? Look closely.

Now that I recall I believe it did had mealybugs around the base of the flower spikes, I applied some insecticide like in between where all the little stems connect to make the inflorescence to eliminate them, first time appreciating the effect of such pest on flowers...
On the other hand not long ago I had to move around most of my pots, surely it got damaged on the handling and up until yesterday I found what you see on the images I wanted to know if you would also think this could be a damage from pseudomonas?... my epidendrum is having some bad luck lately...

I haven't seen Pseudomonas in Epidendrums but the online photos of it attacking Phalaenopsis don't look like that. I would wonder about insufficient water, too much light or too much heat. Also reed-stem Epidendrums are very susceptible to spider mites.
