Hello everyone! One of my orchids has these black spots on it. Otherwise it is growing healthy and just sprouted a stem a week ago! Roots are also actively growing too. I noticed when I had switched from distilled water to tap water that it got these white spots and ridges in weird shapes. When I looked at it today I saw a lot of black bumps. I'm wondering if it could be a pest of fungus or nothing to worry about. Thank you!
I don't know what they are, unfortunately. I have had them pop up on my phals a time or two. I had always simply thought they were some kind of blemish. They never have spread and don't seem to harm the plant.
I found this article, perhaps they are what is described here?
I wonder whether this is damage from drops of cold water collapsing some of the leaf cells. Try not to water with water that is very different in temperature from the air around the plant. Draw the water and let it warm up to room temperature before using.
It could also be salt damage if your tap water has a lot of dissolved minerals.

Probably edema (water blisters) caused by the plant up taking more water though the roots than the leaves can transpire. Ussally will not cause much harm to the plant, other than the ugly bumps on the leaves. But can become an entrance/vector for diseases and fungus to enter the plant. Remember good fundamentals, good water quality, correct lighting, fresh media, and always good air movment. Best of luck
