Cadetia taylori yellowing
I've had this little plant for three years or more, always been in my countertop greenhouse. It has grown slooowly, never flowered before. It is mounted on a hardwood mount, no moss, bare roots. It's never had any issues until recently.
The greenhouse receives bright light from kitchen windows though no direct sun, I use a CFL as well. The humidity is always near 80%, temperatures in the low to high 70s daytime, 60s overnight. There are two small fans running. The taylori is in a shady area of the greenhouse. I fertilize weakly weekly. I've made no changes to the growing conditions with this plant.
Within the last few weeks the taylori has began to yellow most of its older leaves, this has never happened before. The new growth is larger than the old and the plant is now flowering for the first time! As happy as I am to finally see it bloom, is this normal for these leaves to yellow?
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. Here is a picture, thanks!

I've never grown it, but... you said those are three or more years old? I would guess it's their time to go.

Thanks estacion seca, that has been my thought as well. This little plant has never lost a leaf and began yellowing about three weeks ago. The bulbs are still green and healthy, just the leaves. With it beginning to flower I guess I'll just wait and see what happens next. There is plenty of new growth, must be natural aging.
Thanks for your reply.

I have a few divisions that have some yellow leaves. The leaves have been yellow for months. I don't know if it's normal, but the plants seem okay and are throwing roots. Yours is much bigger than any of my divisions though.
I hope mine blooms, but it may be too small yet. It was a random find at the Lyman Estate historic greenhouse in Mass.
Congrats on yours, the flowers are just adorable!

Salixx, this plant has been a very slow grower. I just looked back, it was September 2014 when I bought this on eBay so not quite 3 years. It was much smaller than most plants I've seen pictures of, shorter bulbs and leaves.
It will be interesting to see if your plant is beginning to grow and flower. The flowers are tiny and yeah, adorable. Hard to get a good picture of, they are like white crystals on the petals with a smiling face.

Cute!
No idea about the yellow leaves, though.
