Mine blooms in the summer starting usually in July, and keeps popping out flowers through August and September. It is in my greenhouse, with light that I would consider "bright shade". I move it outside when it blooms (the evening fragrance on my patio is lovely). Since it does much better in the greenhouse during the cooler months, I suspect that it does not need a large temperature difference between day and night. Don't know about artificial light... If you can supplement natural light, rather than depend purely on artificial light, I think that the details of the lighting would be less critical.
