I see some sphagnum, and also what looks like a few old nicks or scratches that healed. It looks quite healthy to me.

I noticed that as well. It's not the first time I've seen them on Andy's plants, and myself received a Zygostates from them with one.

Plant looks fine to me. Any little nicks are just environmental, nothing to be concerned about. Seed pods on Masdies are very common... I think they self-pollinate easily.
