Pseudobulbs on unidentified orchid
Hi.
My orchid is classified on its tag as a "cambria", but i'm still trying to find out the exact type as i realise this is probably wrong.
It's flowering at the moment, two stems on seperate pseudobulbs (is that what they are called?),
It has three pseudobulbs, but one without any flower stems seems it be turning brownish. It has had two flower stems on it previously, but now just has leaves, and one of them is turning brown at the end. Is this pseudobulb dying and becomeing a blackbulb? Is that the correct term? I'm worried becasue i really don't want it to die, so if someone can say this is fine and natural i'll be very happy.
Also, does anyone know the rates of mutation? My gorgeous orchid has two stems with lovely white flowers on, but one flower on the smallest stem has two lips along with the five petals! Will this continue?

Hi! Do you have any pictures of your orchid? That would help alot in trying to figure out what is going on with it! That way we could also try to identify it for you as well. Cambria is the commercial name for a whole bunch of oncidium alliance hybrids, even though each type of cross does have a proper name.
Muatation can and will happen, although it does seem to be a one time thing. Most likely all the flowers will be normal next time it blooms!

She is right, you need to post a pic
because I looked for it on a program I have and there are a number of possiblities. The only way to identify, or even come close is to see a picture.

Thanks for replying: i really appreciate it.
Here are some pictures. The first one is of the psuedobulb, and the other two are just pictures of the flowers.
As well as being a begininer with orchids, i also am a begininer with photography, so i'm sorry these aren't the best quality.

Beallara is a type of oncidium alliance cross, not the name for all cambrias! In the article you found Dorothy (good one, btw, I'll bookmark it!) the cambria pictured is actually a Burragearra.
As for this mystery cambria, I think it's an Odontonia (Miltonia x Odontoglossum). I found something that seems close, but it is hard to be sure since the picture is a bit fuzzy. Paramount orchid has a wide range of 'cambria' orchids, and I love looking there to try to identify the NOIDs!
Odontonia from paramount
As for what is going on with the bulbs, I'm not really sure. Bacterial perhaps?? Is the bulb just brown, or brown and mushy?

It doesn't look like Beallara at all. Here is a Bllra Peggy Ruth Carpenter
As you can see the Brassia really shows through on Bllra whereas the photos of the subject plant are more blunt? The pseudobulbs remind me of Brassia or maybe Oncidium. It is, for sure, an intergeneric, but can't really tell which one from the photos.

It could be a Bllra .. I thought maybe something close to Dgmra Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy' but the petals and sepals are too narrow in comparison and it doesn't have the pink blush on the petals
Back to the drawing board

Wow! Thanks for the replies everyone, especially camille1585, as the photo link looks like exactly the same flower. My leaves are green, however: does it matter? Can i still be that orchid?
About the pseudobulb: It isn't mushy, or have any holes in it. Its still hard, and feels like the other pseudobulbs: its just become brown. the other pseudobulbs are absolutely fine, with no hint of brown.
Thanks once again, the help has been amazing.

I have some Odont crosses that have some brown on
the pseudobulbs. I don't think there is anything wrong with them, but I also would be interested in knowing if there is a problem with this. Thank you in advance.
