Based on the blooms, it looks like you have Rhynchostylis coelestis. The black on the outside of some of the roots looks like dried algae or mold, which won't hurt anything. The roots that have collapsed are showing tell tale signs of fusarium (at least the way fusarium affects vandas). This is likely from either too little light, not enough air circulation, or both. At this point it is important to not only increase light and air circulation, but also make sure it is getting fertilized at least weekly. If vandas are not given the food and light needed to grow well, infection will take the upper hand and spread quickly through the plant. Your plant still looks healthy like you've caught it early, which is great. Good luck!
