Sunburned Phal Update
Default Sunburned Phal Update

So a few weeks ago I posted about a yellow spot on one of my phal leaves and the consensus was that it was sunburn. I moved it to a darker room and since then the leaf has gotten worse. I have included pictures, and I am considering cutting the top half of the leaf off (the bottom part is still healthy).

Do you all still think this is sunburn or is it a more serious issue?

It could be sunburn - it often does get worse looking (depends on how bad the damage is) - Cutting off the damaged portion is a good idea.

I know from my experience with "cooking" my orchids that the damage looked worse every day for about a week. I did remove a lot of the damaged leaves hopefully to prevent any bacterial infections from taking over. I think that removing the damaged portion of the leaf is a good idea
