I believe he's a phelsuma: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phelsuma

But without a label from the grower, can I really trust that ID? ;-)

Yes. Phelsuma is the genus. We don't know the cross so we can call it a NOID Phelsuma unless somebody recognizes the species.
