While the "killing the bacteria " part was a lab study, my doctor showed me a study in which traditional ulcer medications were compared to cinnamon (in capsules, but in the amount one might ingest with food), and placebos, and both treatments beat the placebo in ulcer reduction.

Don't kid yourself - powdered grocery store cinnamon has a lot of cinnamaldehyde in it. Follow my extraction instructions, and you'll have a decent fungicide. Also, I don't know what alcohol may be in those extracts, but I have used 70% isopropanol on plants for years, and have never seen any issue. I usually extract the cinnamaldehyde using 1Tbsp powder in a pint of alcohol...
