Hey all - can you help me diagnose what could be happening to my phal. I rescued this from my mom about a year ago - was a keiki from one of her phals. He's been thriving after I repotted him in the correct media and put him on a better watering refining. I set him in our screened in porch a few days ago after he finished blooming and for about an hour he sat in direct sunlight in the afternoon by accident while I was trying to put my baby down for her nap. One of his leaves started to yellow, but now 2 more have black spots and another is beginning to yellow. I didn't think he got sun burned...any ideas?
First thing i thought when i looked at the photo was sun burn. Then i read your info,"1 hour in direct sun". The black spots are sun burn. It will get works in the days to come. The yellowing leaves are the result of the plant reacting to being plunged into a new environment with no time to acclimate. A drastic change in light, water, humidity, temp, and wind can cause a plant to pull back on resources in an attempt to survive the change.
