Help ID bugs please
Hello everyone.
Two different bugs washed out from my orchids. They don't seem to be eating my plants like a scale bug.
Could someone help ID them and recommend a treatment please.

If they are not eating your plants you may not need a treatment at all.
Later today I will ask my son, who is an entomologist-in-training, regarding an ID.

Many insects are beneficial or help in control of other insects, many more are neutral ( meaning they do no harm or help), not all insects are pests and need to be eradicated. Is your plant kept out sided? What part of the country are you located?

The clarity of the photos makes ID difficult to say the least, but when trying to photograph such tiny things I know it's difficult to get better ones.
The second organism, which you showed again the pic#2, is a pseudoscorpion ("false scorpion). So named because it looks like a scorpion without a tail. These arachnids are predators which feed on minute creatures like mites and thrips. Not venomous and completely harmless to you and you plants.

I have Pseudoscorpion in my terrarium, even had babies. They are beneficial and very cute. I do not see the tiny pinchers in your photo.

Occasionally while examining a plant, little

Patty, I thought I could see two faint blurry extended arms in the photo. Could be mistaken I suppose....

Paul, Lol it could be but looks more like antenna to me? The pinchers are easy to see in my pictures and they have 8 legs. I think we need a better pic.

I showed the pics to my son (entomology student) and he could not identify due to the low resolution. Sorry.
