You guys won't believe this but I have about 60 Paphs and going through my collection a few days ago I found two plants with the same problem. They sit right in the middle of the collection and I can't see any reason for this to occur. They are cooler growing plants and it's happened to two in the middle of a bunch of others including other plants that are the same cross. I don't have any aphids but cell collapse is an interesting theory.
I noticed it on the mature leaves but the newly grown leaves coming out of the top of the crown down have this problem at all. Very strange to me.
Could it be caused by thrips?
