Yellowing Canes on Dendrobium

That's a good way to look at it, but my concern was with the mould and any spores that may have spread to other surfaces since it's soon to be in a fairly anaerobic environment.

Lost another leaf, so now there's only one left and it's not looking too great. The tip of the one cane has been getting a bit of fuzzy white mould on it. I hit it once with Physan and I've kept cinnamon on it, but it keeps coming back. Also, where I cut of the infected cane is staying rather wet despite liberal application of cinnamon..

It looks as though the rot has spread through the whole plant. I would call it a learning experience. Next time use a smaller pot and let it get dry between waterings.

So it's a lost cause at this point? I was afraid of that.. The onc is doing rather well, though. Aside from one bulb that looks a bit funny, the rest of it looks really good. It's got lots of fresh new roots on the newer bulbs and really looks a happier shade of green.

A learning experience. Probably most of us saw your first photo in the big pot and thought, "Uh-oh." Soon you too will be able to walk into a greenhouse and notice the problems out of the corner of your eye.

It's officially gone. I was hoping some tiny bit might make it, but it was all covered in mould and the canes were soft. Thanks for trying, though. I appreciate all the help.

Dendrobium is very sensitive to transplanting. In the picture is not visible mold.
Put the plant in a small clay pot without media and forget about it. Maybe you're lucky.
