Default Grammatocymbidium Lovely Melody...Fungus? Virus?

I bought this Grammatocymbidium around two months ago and I noticed some black spots and translucent spots... The spots have spread on the leaves but the new growths look Ok.

It is producing three or four new growths and two flower spikes.

It could be fungus. I had it on some of mine and have been working on it for about a year now. I now know one of the reasons why I got it was I didn't have any air flow in the room they were in. I had some copper fungus spray I used on them and now I am using inocucor to help them recover. My Vanda hybrid is blooming and the Den is going to and both Onc are spiking so I guess they were not hurt to badly. They just don't look so pretty.

Yours doesn't look as bad as mine do. But it does kind of look like mine.

Could be... I bought it online so it was inside of a box for a couple of days but when it arrived I put it outside where there is plenty of air circulation. It kept falling over before I repotted it.

I was just thinking, that a differentiation can be made between "spreading spots" and "developing new spots."

If spreading, it might be a disease, if developing new, it could be culture. Possibly tackle either or both at the same time?

I have seen many posts from oncidium owners who claim that oncidiums are just naturally suseptable to black spotting. I think it has something to do with getting water spots on their leaves, when it is too cold.

Here is a listing of leaf problems at Cloud's Orchids. Maybe you can identify your problem here?
