help! sucking signs

hello!!!

i'm starting to become desperate do to that kind of signs in my orchids. Most of them are dendrobium. New growths shows sucking sings but not the older ones, and new buds die over the night.

I havent seen snails or slugs but to be sure I put some beer in pots to atrack them but the results were negative.

I live in tropical weather

Can you post the second photo again?
It is too blurry. Is it Brassavola of some sort??

I really have no idea without clearer image.
I think it might be disease as well.
Do you see clear biting damage on those white areas??

The reason I say that is because I had Dendrobium, Vanda and Cattleya did the same thing, and they were not from bugs or snails.
One day, they just showed this indentation with chloric marks.

Tomorrow I will post better photos.
The orchids seems ok apart from that marks but all this is new so I really dont know if its really affecting the plant, and it's not happening in all of them

Do you live in a very humid area? This could be fungus growing on the leaf. A lot of plants in very humid areas have fungus like this.

The first photo shows ring-shaped markings. This can be virus, but could also be fungus. There is no way to know without virus testing (you would need to research where to buy test kits in your country, or find a virus testing laboratory).

Unfortunately, virus can't be treated. Diseased plants should be discarded.

Here in my city high humidity from 50% to 75% and very rainy fue to EL NINO.

Im not an expert but it really dont see like a virus to me, because the lession are palpable and with cavity (difficult to explain sorry)

With all that rain, some of the pictures reminds me of oedema.

I have all my orchids under a ceiling, at least the ones shown on the pictures

But thanks for the information, i didnt know about that and now I noticed some other orchids with oedema that receives all the rain!!!

I see them better now. This could be damage from insects or from fungus, or scratches from something next to them in transit or wherever they were before you got them.

If you are growing them outside it will be hard to prevent all insect and fungus problems. This small amount of damage may not affect how your plants grow and flower.

But why the damages are only in new growths?

I have had those orchids for at least 2 years.

Because I have babies and pets I dont use any kind of insecticide. Im using soap and oil to prevent mites and is going really well. But just one week ago i'm trying to preven ants and other insects with sugar and borax in small pots near my orchids to see if something works with that problem.

I dont know if these lessions are related to orchids not to bloom. the flower dies before it opens and sometimes from one day to another the blossoms are death
