Default Fungi ruining Cymbidiums

I know that Cymbids are prone to fungus attack, so from from feb to September I spay them with a contact fungicide,Captan and Diathane alternating every two weeks I Stop spraying for the warmer months of the year Because we are not supposed to get the temperature drop in the hour before dawn , which germinates the fungus
This year i have been caught napping , the temperature drops continued during Oct Nov Dec and Jan . !!!!
( whatever Happened to global warming !!!???)
My question is ..... Does anyone have a better method of protection .
