Tucker, that makes sense. Most of my virused plants are my first few orchids. Back in my early collecting days I didn't know enough about plants to even fathom that they could have infectious diseases! I shudder to think of how many times I pruned orchid after orchid without even wiping off my scissors!

This experience has taught me to be as cautious as I can be about hygiene. I bought a (cheap) box of 100 razor blades and will use a fresh blade for each plant, from now on.

My problem is that I'm a sucker for inexpensive plants! I wish I could take my virus tests into shows, auctions and raffles before I buy anything. Somehow, I don't think slicing samples off of plants would go over well at those events!
