That is plenty of S.moss. You won't need much to mount on the Kool-logs. The more moss used the wetter the mount. They have directions on the site and they come with the logs.

It is always good to have some S. moss on hand for emergency re-pots and such. I bought the same thing. I usually just break off a chunk and re-hydrate that instead of the entire piece. I just wet what I need and keep the rest in chunk form.

Alright, I know I said I was going to do the kool log but now I am considering S/H. This method would provide constant moisture, the only difference is the temperature. If I went this route could the moisture and a small fan keep it cool enough? It is around 68-70 F during the day and probably closer to low 60s at night. Could the fan drop the temp 10 degrees if positioned close to it? It is designed for cooling electronics essentially a pc fan.

The cooling problem will be in the summer, right now you really don't have to worry much about it.

Okay, in that case I will probably try S/H first and see how that goes.

Thanks!

Update:
I have since moved it out from under the light and started monitoring the moisture level more carefully and the leaf death has not spread like last time! Also the leaf count is back up to 14 with new ones appearing at the base!
Thanks everyone!
