estación seca--do they plant them in oasis floral foam, because I swear! that's what the foamy stuff felt, sounded and looked like.

I got out as much as I very carefully could with rounded tweezers.

I don't know exactly what it is. I've found it a few times and read references to it online.

Hmmm, well it seems like my little Twinkle has decided to forgive whatever errors I've made in its care. I still don't know what made it so unhappy. Several pseudobulbs succumbed, but it's making a valiant effort to survive.

I love how resilient these plants are!

It could have just needed some new media. I find many Oncidiums are just prone to spotting. I haven't found a way to prevent it yet and I have had some for a number of years. They get the same treatment as others with no spots. Just good moving air and proper feed, watering and light and they will still bloom
